A Space for
Healing

Begin to understand what you have been carrying and reconnect with yourself.

A winding stone path through open woodland, warm sunlight falling across it and the way ahead fading gently into the distance

You may have been carrying difficult experiences for a long time, finding it hard to switch off or feeling as though you have lost a part of yourself along the way. You may feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together, wondering if anyone could truly understand what you are going through.

I believe meaningful counselling begins with a relationship where you feel able to be yourself, feel understood and explore your experiences without pressure.

Counselling isn't about becoming someone different. It's about gently coming home to yourself, one step at a time.

Welcome

Sometimes life can leave us carrying far more than others realise.

You may find yourself lying awake at night because your mind won't stop replaying what happened. You may have become so used to putting everyone else's needs first that you're no longer sure what you need yourself. You might find yourself pulling away from people, avoiding situations that once felt easy, or wondering why life feels so much harder than it used to.

Whatever life looks like for you right now, counselling can offer a space to slow down and begin to understand what you are experiencing.

Counselling offers an opportunity to gently untangle what has been weighing on you, reflect on your experiences and begin to understand yourself with greater compassion. It is a place where you can pause, explore what feels important and reconnect with yourself.

Who I work with

You may recognise yourself in one of these paths.

There is no need to have the right words. If something here feels familiar, you are welcome to explore it more gently.

How counselling can help

Life experiences can affect us in many different ways.

A quiet outdoor coastal path through grassy dunes towards calm pale water

Sometimes their impact is obvious, and sometimes they quietly shape the way we think, feel and relate to ourselves and others.

You might replay conversations long after they've ended, blame yourself for things that weren't your fault, or find it difficult to relax because your mind is always anticipating what might happen next. You may have become so used to coping in certain ways that asking for support feels unfamiliar, or you may no longer recognise the confident, hopeful person you once felt you were.

The ways you have learned to cope often develop for a reason. They may have helped you through difficult experiences, even if they no longer support the life you want to live today.

Counselling isn't about changing who you are; it's about creating the conditions to understand yourself with compassion, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with the strengths that have always been within you.

Whatever has brought you here, counselling can offer an opportunity to explore your experiences, reconnect with yourself and move towards a life that feels more connected, hopeful and true to who you are.
